Stargazer

Morning all - forgot to add this lovely cuff called Stargazer, done in Delica's my favorite beads. Pattern by Jaycee.

Wednesday 29 July 2009

I finished this recently - I think it reminds me of sea foam for some reason - I had seen the chain worked on wire, which I copied from the magazine then decided to take it a step further and wove it amongst the copper Medallion I had in my stash.
This pattern was from the Bead and button magazine and i just loved it, sorry I cant remember the designer and now I have created a blog will infuture add more details., I worked this in lemon and black seed beads

This I created one dull and dismal day so I chose lovely bright green seedbeads interwoven with pearls and for the centre I worked a peyote strip and added it with the use of pearls again - I must say this is such a pretty necklace it would be hard to part with it

Something different
This was my first attempt surrounding the focal bead with silver wire.
I completed this last week, it was something I designed myself, mainly as I wanted to learn the Herringbone stitch, I then added 3 focal beads and silver chain.

eye candy for you

Hello bloggers, thought I would upload some recent jewelley I made this turned out really nicely I had oval Indian beads in the centre and surrounded with black and deep gold seed beads in a piquet along the edge

Reunion - Best buds

How wonderful it was to catch up with old friends this year, we all grew up in Rhodesia/Zimbabwe and I have known the girls since i was 5 - imagin this I hadent seen them for the last 20 years and this year we all managed to meet and have a lovely reunion but my goodness it was such a shock - you keep a photo in your mind and when you finally meet again what a shock - how the years have aged us all., but the conversation and friendship was as it was yesterday -

A few more

I will add a few more beaded items all mainly from Jaycee's pattern - as you may or may not know i lived in Africa most of my life now in UK - and when i found a new hobby in beading i browsed hundreds of patterns and stumbled across all these beautiful African patterns - needless to say i could not resist, and got chatting to the designer Jaycee and we discovered we both came from the same country though we both live on opposite sides of the world now but our hearts are in Africa - the saying 'once Africa is in your blood, you are never free' is oh so true. Enjoy my african beadwork

Another beaded bracelet

Well I'm on a roll now that i seem to have worked out how this all works, and the fact i have been up half the night so have a lot of time on my hands right now. Another of Jaycee's beautiful patterns - I loved this one but it was sold within a week, now i need time to make myself one. lol

Beadwork

well its about time i really got down and did something here - so lets start with one of my many passions - beadwork - below are a couple of beaded cuff's that i have made from Jaycee's patterns she is a brilliant designer.
